. So many wonderful companion animals need homes. They can't survive well in a human world. They can't open cans or the refrigerator, or turn on the tap to get some water. It is cold in the winter without a home. Without a soft bed. Without a comfortable lap to nap on. We all need love. What a wonderful opportunity for you to reach out and open your home to an incredible experience, companionship and real love!

We will be posting pictures of individuals who need homes. For the present, we thought we would gived you a lovely picture to look at with some great advice about any nonhuman family members you may already have. HSUS's calendar certainly expresses the spirit.

By the way, we encourage all our practitioners to extend their work to the non-human family members of people with whom they work. For those of you who have made a more natural choice in lifestyle, having only alopathic avenues for these most beloved family members who happen not to be human can be jarring. We don't discriminate. Spirit is spirit in any form. Including human and cat and dog and bird and frog, and mouse and gerbil and well, you get the picture!
